Your Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Ashore Inventory Manager for Cruise Ships. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management operations for our cruise ship fleet from an onshore perspective. Your primary objective will be to ensure efficient inventory control, accurate stock management, analysis on replenishment of supplies and spare parts consumption. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies and procedures to optimize stock levels and meet the inventory needs of the cruise ships.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data, including stock levels, consumption patterns, and lead times, to identify trends, forecast demands, and make data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate with onboard teams and department heads to understand inventory requirements, forecast consumption, and ensure timely replenishment of supplies and spare parts.
- Collaborate closely with the purchasing and procurement teams to establish effective procurement processes and support to negotiate vendor agreements.
- Implement robust inventory control measures, such as regular stock checks, cycle counting, and reconciliation procedures, to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management systems and software to track and manage inventory, generate reports, and optimize inventory-related activities.
- Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess inventory performance, identify areas for improvement, and enhance efficiency.
- Guide and coach, a team of inventory personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth and efficient inventory management operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Logistics, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and optimize inventory-related activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in inventory management, and proactively propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in inventory management or supply chain would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within the maritime, cruise, or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and optimization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in inventory-related tasks and documentation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to inventory management in the cruise ship industry.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, work well under pressure, and multitask effectively.
